In awarding the Duane Crammond Memorial Scholarship, The La Chute Road Runners seek not only to promote running as a healthy lifestyle choice among our local youth but also to identify and recognize individuals who embody the spirit of running and the strong academic, athletic and character traits of Duane Crammond, valedictorian of the Ti High Class of 2000 and a section champion runner. The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded upon successful completion of the fall semester in college with a minimum GPA of 3.0. The Duane Crammond Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a Ticonderoga graduate attending college full time who has participated in varsity cross-country and/or track & field. The recipient must demonstrate the strong academic, athletic and character traits associated with Duane Crammond. The La Chute Road Runners does not discriminate on the basis of age, sex, race, creed, national origin or physical challenge.

Eligibility Requirements:
-A Ticonderoga High School graduate who has participated in varsity cross-country and/or track & field.
-Committed to attend a fully accredited 2 or 4 year college or university on a full-time basis.
-Completion of an application.

Application Procedure:
-Complete entire application.
-Submit official copy of high school or college transcript.
-Application packets and all supporting information must be received by, May 20.
-Incomplete applications will now be considered.

Selection Process:
Applicants will be chosen by the La Chute Road Runners Scholarship Committee based on the following criteria:
-Academic achievement and extracurricular activities
-An essay on the role running will play in your future;
-Essay on your academic and professional goals.
-Running Achievements and/or contributions to running and, Community Service.

Scholarship Fund Disbursement:
-Awards will be presented upon successful completion of the fall semester with a minimum GPA of 3.0
-To be used in the spring semester of the upcoming school year.
-To be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies and maintenance.
